MEET THE FOUNDERS
We at Mastishk are passionate licensed clinical psychologists and are registered with Rehabilitation Council of India.
Mrs. Steffi has completed her M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology and has undergone intensive training from Institute of Behavioural Sciences, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University. She has completed her masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Ms. Steffi has more than 8 years of work experience in the field of mental health. She has worked with Cadabams' Hospital, Bangalore which is one of the leading hospitals in Asia for psychiatric and rehabilitation care for 3 years. Post this, she co founded Mastishk Centre and runs her private practice through online mode. She is also involved in conducting training programs for the Centre. She has taken additional training in Trauma Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Mrs. Steffi specializes in dealing with adults with personality difficulties, and other various psychological and mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress. She uses various forms of personality and diagnostic testing for better understanding and insight building, in addition to various psychotherapies to help her clients in need.
Ms. Manik has completed her degree in M.Phil. Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Behavioural Sciences, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University and Masters from SNDT University, Mumbai. She has undertaken extensive clinical and theoretical training during her overall years of training.
Ms. Manik has worked in the field of mental health for more than 8 years. She worked as a clinical psychologist in Naval Command hospital, INHS Asvini, Mumbai. It is the biggest multi-specialty defense hospital in India with a specialized psychiatric department under its wing. Ms. Manik was also attached with various colleges in Mumbai such as Tata Institute of Social Sciences and N.K. College. In 2018, She co-founded Mastishk Centre is currently running her private practice in Borivali West and in Bandra East. She has taken additional training in Trauma Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Ms. Manik is adept at dealing with various emotional and psychological disorders like Anxiety, Depression, OCD and many others. She has extensive knowledge in various forms of psychological assessments and psychotherapies and uses them together to the benefit and need of every client with difficulty.
CONSULTANT CHILD PSYCHOLOGIST & HOD OF CHILD GUIDANCE UNIT
Ms. Bhavana Tambat has completed her degree in M.A. Clinical Psychology from the University of Mumbai (2012) As a part of Master’s program she underwent training for developing skills for psychological assessments and for therapeutic skills. Ms. Bhavana Tambat underwent Intensive training for Play Therapy and level I training of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy.
Ms. Bhavana Tambat has worked in the field of mental health for almost 10 years. She worked as a psychologist in Shanti Nursing Home (Aurangabad, 2013 - 2015), in department of rehabilitation. Her work involved screening clients for Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT). She underwent in house training for Behaviour Therapy, for Cognitive remediation therapy and for Social Skills Training. She worked with patients of chronic mental illness. In 2016 she worked with Billabong High International School, Mumbai. Her worked involved undertaking therapy sessions for differently abled children. She also conducted in house Shadow Teacher Training Program. In 2018 she worked with New Horizon Child Development Centre and as a part of her work she conducted assessment and therapy sessions for children with diverse emotional and behavioural concerns. Ms. Bhavana Tambat working with Vivid Skies Child Care Clinic from 20201. She is functioning as a head of the department of psychology and as a consultant psychology. She is also consultant at Early Intervention Centre, Mira road.
Ms. Bhavana Tambat has a deep interest in working with children. She is proficient at working with children with Neurodevelopmental disorders, children with Emotional and Behavioural concerns. She believes that a well-functioning and happy parent can lead to the creation of a healthy and happy child, hence she also undertakes educative and awareness creating parental workshops and therapy sessions to facilitate mental health wellbeing in a parent.
CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRISTS
Dr. Nimisha Nair is a consulting Psychiatrist working in Mumbai. She has completed her MBBS from MGM university of health sciences in 2016 and then her DPM (Psychiatry) from College of physicians and Surgeons Mumbai in 2021.
Dr. Nimisha Nair is attached with a well known rehabilitation Centre in Mumbai and is also experienced in handling an acute psychiatric set up. Her areas of Interest lies in de- addiction and organic psychiatry.
She is adept at doing an in-depth assessment and diagnosis before starting with the necessary medical treatment. Dr. Nimisha is specialized in dealing with various addiction cases and other psychiatric illnesses such as Depression, Anxiety, OCD. Her interest also lies in creating relevant mental health awareness among the population so people can access mental health care.
Dr. Nimisha, along with her skill & knowledge base, also has a unique capacity to be sensitive toward the treating patient and family and she utilizes this quality to enhance her treatment approach.
Dr. Vinita has completed her MD Psychiatry from Mumbai’s renowned Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital and has a DNB degree in Psychiatry byNational Board of Exams(NBE). She has completed MBBS from the prestigious institution Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Vinita has completed focused clinical training during her academic years.
Dr. Vinita has 5 years of experience of working as a consultant psychiatrist in the field of mental health. She was attached with LTMMC and Sion Medical College as a psychiatrist. She is also involved in teaching, training and research activities. She has received additional training in Deaddiction at centre of excellence Mumbai She is a Member of Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) and Bombay Psychiatric Society (BPS)
Dr. Vinita’s area of interest lies in neuropsychiatric disorders where neurological problems like Dementia, stroke, epilepsy and psychiatric problems coexist. She has gathered plenty of experience in dealing with general psychiatric disorders like Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Phobia, suicidal tendencies, sexual medicine, geriatric medicine, deaddiction medicine, Child and adolescent psychiatric disorders like ADHD, Autism, Internet addiction and Eating disorders.
